Charlie Brown and Snoopy are likely the most recognized cartoons in… well, forever. The Peanuts story is probably the longest story ever told by one man, the amazing Charles Shulz. The first strip released on October 2, 1950 and by 1960, Charles Schulz won a Reuben award from the National Cartoonist Society.

Today, Blue Sky Studios honors the 65th year of peanuts with “The Peanuts Movie” in 3D. The crew is back and Charlie Brown is determined to make himself a winner. There are a thousand ways you can celebrate this anniversary, but none is better than “The Peanuts Mantle”, and I’ll explain why.

If you’re a forever Peanuts fan, you know holidays just aren’t the same without Charlie Brown. With a mantle display, you can celebrate Schulz each year from Halloween to Christmas. You could include all holidays as you build your peanuts collection, but for now, let’s start with Christmas. It IS only 49 days away!

Bring Chuck, Snoopy, and the gang to life with a stunning Peanuts mantle display. This adorable decorating theme honors Schulz and your love of peanuts in the main focal point of your home. If you don’t have a mantle, you can complete this on a bookshelf or cabinet that’s near your Christmas tree.

Creating a Peanuts Mantle Display

You’ll need a mantle scarf first, try to find a red or green one to set the festive feel. Then Add in some figurines. On our store, we have Snoopy and Charlie anniversary figurines. There are also a variety of Snoopy figurines in silly poses like Reindeer Snoopy, Snoopy The Candy Canine, and a Tinseled Snoopy.

Then, you’ll want to add in a Peanuts holiday staple, the Christmas tree that just needed a little love. We have a 3-piece peanuts figurine set, as well as a 7-piece Charlie Brown Christmas set, both include the little infamous tree.

Line the mantle or tree with our Snoopy Christmas Lights. Complement these with red and white lights as well. Include garland or tinsel if you have extra room on the ledge.

Finally, what makes a holiday mantle display complete? Stockings! Use a Snoopy and Woodstock stocking holder, paired with a Charlie Brown Christmas stocking.
There you have it. Some inspiration to get your display going. If you want to take it one step further, then get yourself in the mood before you begin decorating with The Peanuts Movie official trailer!
